Test Engineer
Job Highlights:
- Test engineer’s main role is to ensure all dedicated production PCBAs are fully tested according to specifications, user applications and design documents.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Interface with R&D engineer, translate PCBA functional concept to test, work with supplier to create test jig/tester.
- Responsible for all PCBA test issues which include test jig/system design, setup, evaluation, commissioning, operating test instruction for production, test instrument/test system calibration, special test setup, test documentations and records retention and all other PCBA test related operational issues.
- Work on continuous test yield improvements in all test aspects and to provide the maximum test coverage and test capacity, with the fastest uptime and highest quality of production test output
- Troubleshoot test jig/system and assure test jig/systems are designed for tester ability and industrialized for production use which are ergonomically and to strife for almost zero downtime.
- Debug test failure PCBA, customers’ return units and rework activities.
- Identify defects and anomalies in PCBA behavior, document issues thoroughly, and communicate findings to PCBA design engineers.
- Document and maintain test results and other testing-related artifacts.
- Planning and purchasing of the required test equipment.
- Close cooperation with the R&D engineers and project manager throughout the project phase.
- Coordinate PCBA NPI build together with R&D engineer. Report issue / suggestion for improvement on the NPI PCBA.
Requirements
- Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent discipline with focus on electrical/optical testing and measurement technology.
- >3 years of experience in electronic side of module level testing
- Experience with test and measurement equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, DMM, power supplier, pattern generators, etc.)
- Ability to continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Previous PCBA debug experience is a plus.
- Project experience and ability to integrate into teams across different functions and locations.
- Good intrapersonal skills such as having positive attitude and growth mindset.
- Good interpersonal skills such teamwork, communication, and flexibility.
