Roles and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to travel locally and overseas for project requirements.
  • Assist the Manager in leading a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and execute engineering projects from concept through to completion and ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise, support, or guidance to the engineering team, reviewing design, drawing, calculations, and specifications to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve technical issues, challenges, and obstacles encountered during project execution, employing analytical skills and creative problem-solving techniques.
  • Participate in the design, analysis, and evaluation of mechanical systems, components, and equipment, utilizing engineering principles, simulation tools, and software to optimize performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Implement quality control measures and procedures to ensure that mechanical designs, prototypes, and products meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design drawings, technical specifications, progress reports, and project documentation, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Liaising with customers and incorporate user-defined needs and feedback into project.
  • Provide customers with technical support.
  • Make final inspection on the site project to ensure all system work according to the project spec.
  • To comply with all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by management)
  • To adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement within the mechanical engineering department, proposing and implementing innovative solutions and best practices.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Master’s degree or additional certifications may be preferred.
  • At least 7-10 years of working experience in the related field is required including hands-on experience with design, analysis, and project management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
