Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Summary:

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will assist manager to develop and deliver qualities mechanical design drawing which fulfills internal and external customer’s specification.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for product design and development using 3D CAD software and other simulation tools
•  Execute mechanical piece part design, process and tooling verification.
• Plan and manage mechanical design schedule.
• Implement products and process improvement.
• Coordinate design phases, transfer and project scheduling.
• Translate customer’s requirement into design specification, evaluate design feasibility and provide technical expertise to meet customer’s requirements.
• Establish design objectives for specific projects, perform detailed calculation and develop innovative and creative design for various difficult and complex project features.
• Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
• To comply with all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by management)
• To adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
• Designing & implementing cost-effective automation equipment.
• Compile & create technical proposal for customers & participate in proposal presentation & design review
• Provide technical support & documentation to Production & Installation department during in-house & on-site activities.
• Plan & manage project schedule.
• Provide detail guideline/reference for junior engineer (s) according to design specification.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5-8  year(s) of working experience in the related field is required.
• Proficient in Solidworks.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in engineering calculation & material characteristics.
• Good communication skill in verbal & written.
• Good in analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Fast learner with ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Leadership & Management.

• Analytical skills with strong physics/mechanical fundamental knowledge are required.
